According to the court, a 32-year-old male from Co Clare showed up for court accused of assaulting his girlfriend on Christmas Day, leaving her with “severe injuries,” reports Breaking News.
The accused victim in the case also obtained an Interim Barring Order (IBO) on the man in connection with the alleged attack at the family home on Tuesday at Killaloe District Court in Ennis.
The couple has multiple children, according to Judge Alec Gabbett, who also stated in court that TUSLA the Child and Family Agency (CFA) has prepared a safety plan for the kids.
According to a report submitted to the court, one of the kids stated, “We had a terrible Christmas,” according to Judge Gabbett, reports Breaking News.
