Authorities in the US have arrested a man following the deaths of four homeless people in New York City.
According CBS News to the man Randy Santos, 24, is facing four counts of murder and one count of attempted murder following the deaths on Saturday.
It is understood Santos who is also homeless is accused of killing the men and injuring one other during a series of attacks in the city.
Police investigating the deaths say they believe that the men were killed after being repeatedly hit with a metal rod as they slept in the Chinatown area of the city.
They added that fifth man is currently in hospital after sustaining head injuries following the attack.
