Gardaí in Co Donegal have confirmed that a man arrested in connection with a major crash which occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning has been released without charge.
In a brief statement released last night, Gardai confirmed that the man aged in his 20s was released from custody without charge after he presented himself at Ballyshannon Garda Station.
It is believed the man was questioned after two people were killed and three others were seriously injured in the crash which occurred at Eastend in Bundoran at approximately 3.25am on Sunday morning.
Both a man and a woman aged in their 20s were killed in the crash, whilst three others were seriously injured in the collision.
Gardaí say a file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
