Gardaí in Dublin have confirmed that the man arrested in connection with the serious assault of a 10-week-old baby girl in Co Louth has been released without charge.
The young baby girl is still currently in critical condition in Temple Street hospital after suffering serious injuries on Monday.
Gardaí say a file will now be prepared and sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
