Gardai seized €200,000 in cash and arrested a man in Dublin yesterday afternoon in connection with the seizure.
The money is suspected to be the proceedings of crime.
Gardai stopped a car in the Fonthill Road area of the capital yesterday afternoon. The money had been concealed inside the vehicle.
The man was arrested at the scene and later released without charge. A file will be prepared for the DPP.
