A lady was attacked while walking her dog, and a man has been charged with her murder, reports Sky.

On July 24, at around five in the morning, Anita Rose, 57, left her home in Brantham, Suffolk, to walk her springer spaniel Bruce.

Around 6.25 a.m., a cyclist discovered the mother-of-six unconscious and suffering from severe head injuries on a track road close to the sewage works and railway line near Rectory Lane, reports Sky.

Bruce’s leash was tied around Ms Rose’s calf, and she was only dressed in her bra, leggings and shoes after her jacket was stolen. There was no injury to the dog.

At Cambridge’s Addenbrooke’s Hospital, she passed away four days later.

Roy Barclay, a 55-year-old man without a permanent address, was taken into custody on Monday and is currently facing murder charges, reports Sky.

On Wednesday, he is scheduled to appear before the Ipswich Magistrates’ Court.

In August, it was revealed that the reason of Ms. Rose’s death was not determined by a post-mortem, reports Sky.
