Authorities in Australia have confirmed that a man has died following a shark attack on Sunday.
It is understood that the man aged in his 20s died after sustaining a critical injury to his arm whilst swimming off Emerald Beach in New South Wales.
Police investigating the incident say the man was attended to by a number of bystanders however despite the best efforts of emergency personnel the man sadly passed away a short time later.
