Niall Dillon, full time farmer and cattle transporter, reported 100 animals stolen from his lands in Cornaher, Kilbeggan, back in June this year.

All animals were tagged and fully traceable under the Department of Agriculture’s system.

After a lenghty investigation, a man in his 30s has now been arrested in connection with the theft, which was valued at around €100,000.
