After a single-car collision in County Mayo, a man has passed away.
According to RTE, the man, in his 40s, was driving when his car collided on the N17 near Lisduff in Claremorris. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The N17 between Ballindine and Claremorris will not open this morning, according to Gardaí, and it was closed overnight near Lisduff. A forensic investigation is now planned, with Gardai requesting witnesses to come forward.
