Gardai in Dublin have launched an investigation after a man passed away following an alleged assault on Tuesday evening.
It is understood the investigation comes after the man sustained life threatening injuries during an incident on the Uilliam Road, Tallaght, at approximately 7:15pm.
Gardai say the seriously injured man was taken to Tallaght University Hospital, where he later passed away.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
