Gardaí in Co Cork have confirmed that a man has been rescued from the sea this evening.
According to RTÉ News, it is understood the man who was swimming was rescued by Irish Coast Guard and crews from the RNLI, at Sandycove Island near Kinsale, at approximately 6pm.
Although the man’s condition is known, it is believed that he may have suffered a heart attack whilst in the water.
