One person sadly lost his life this morning after the two-seater microlight aircraft he was flying in crashed in a Co Down airfield.
The incident took place just after 11am this morning at Newtownards Airfield. Initial reports say the aircraft stalled during take-off.
Emergency services attended the scene, and one man was rushed to hospital, but he was later confirmed dead.
The airfield will remain closed for the rest of the day while investigations take place.
