Man knocked unconscious and hospitalised after being punched in the face over face mask row in the London Underground

It appears that everyone needs to be on their guard these days and beware of people who are getting frustrated at wearing face masks as one incident on the London Tube has resulted in a man being left unconscious with a serious laceration and in need of stitches from a single punch.

The incident took place at Clapham Junction where a man, named as William, and his friend were shouting at South Western Railway staff because one worker was not wearing a mask and another passenger walking by then punched William after he remarked about his lack of a mask.

Footage online shows the incident as the unnamed assailant walked by the arguing group push a buggy carrying a small child when William is then heard saying “you’re not wearing one either” – though he claims this was not directed at the man.

The fellow passenger then walks back to the so-called “Covid Karen”, as such mask dictators have been branded online, and floors him with one punch. William was later hospitalised after staff phoned the emergency services.

The Sun reported that William admitted to losing his temper and said:

“It escalated into a row with other station staff… then you can see the rest… thug leaves the scene, staff do nothing.
No idea who he is, just some random person who was walking without a face covering assumed when I was talking to the guard just flew off straight away bang.”

Similar violent incidents over mask wearing have been recorded in the United States with footage showing one man beating a man and woman after they through hot coffee on him as he sat outdoors eating for not wearing a mask.

Other footage has shown people, shouting obscenities and wishing death on children for not having masks on while shopping.
