A man has been left in a critical condition following a serious assault in an Irish county.
The incident happened in the Ashfield estate in Arklow, Co. Wicklow, on Tuesday.
When Gardai arrived at the scene, they located a male in his 40s with serious head injuries.
The victim is now in Beaumont Hospital in a critical condition.
