Despite being found guilty, a sex offender who was sought after for a chemical attack that injured a girl and her mother and may have changed their lives was allowed to remain in the UK because of asylum, reports Breaking News.

Abdul Ezedi, 35, a resident of the Newcastle region, is still at large. He was last seen on Wednesday night in a store in north London, and authorities have reported that he has “significant injuries to the right side of his face.”

The sighting occurred just more than an hour after a mother, 31, who was accompanied by her youngsters, ages three and eight, was attacked. It is thought that the victim was known to Ezedi. The three of them are still in the hospital, reports Breaking News.

It is understood that Ezedi, who is thought to be from Afghanistan, was found guilty of a sexual crime in 2018 at Newcastle Crown Court and was sentenced to a suspended term.

He entered a guilty plea to one charge of sexual assault and one of exposure, and the Crown Prosecution Service of the United Kingdom reported that on January 9th of that year, he was sentenced.

For ten years, Ezedi was listed on the Sex Offenders Register, reports Breaking News.
