The man who killed three people in a stabbing incident in Nottingham last year has entered a guilty plea, according to the prosecution, reports RTE.
Nottingham Crown Court was informed by prosecutor Karim Khalil KC that before accepting the pleas offered by 32-year-old Valdo Calocane, the relatives of university students Barnaby Webber and Grace O’Malley-Kumar, both 19, as well as school caretaker Ian Coates, 65, were consulted.
At a prior hearing, Calocane—who went by the name Adam Mendes in court—pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Mr. Coates, Mr. Webber, and Ms. O’Malley-Kumar.
He also acknowledged trying to kill three pedestrians on June 13, 2023, after they were struck by a van he had taken from Mr. Coates, reports RTE.
