A man from Florida faces charges after admitting to stealing a tow truck for revenge when his car was towed by the company he stole from.
Florida Highway Patrol agents received information that a tow truck had been stolen in Orange County, according to a report. A police officer saw the stolen “Car Store Towing” vehicle heading north on the I-75 motorway.
The officer stopped the truck and spoke to 30-yr-old Aimee Onggo,according to the report. Onggo admitted to stealing the truck.
The search for Onggo and the truck led to the recovery of methamphetamine, Xanax and hydrocodone, according to the report. Onggo was arrested and charged with theft of a large car and three counts of possession of a controlled substance. It’s understood he stole the tow truck because their company had previously towed his car. He remains in Alachua County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
