According to reports this morning it is believed the man who was the intended target in a shooting incident in Swords last night is known to gardaí.
The man aged in his 60s was targeted as he sat in his car in the Rathbeale Crescent housing estate in Swords, at approximately 7pm.
Gardaí say the man who was uninjured in the attack was targeted by another man who escaped in a black Audi which was later found on fire at the back of Dublin Airport.
Gardaí also say they are appealing for witnesses’ who may have any information to contact them.
