UK police are continuing the search for a man on the run the for the past three weeks. On July 18th a 15 year old girl was playing with friends in the the water at Bournemouth beach, near the Oceanarium, in Dorset. A ball the group were playing with landed beside a teenage boy. It is reported in the Metro that the boy eventually threw the ball back to the group and began chatting to his victim.
The boy then pulled his victim into deeper water close to Bournemouth Pier and allegedly raped her in the sea in front of a packed beach at about 3.30pm.
The suspect had told the victim he was 17 years old and that he was travelling to Birmingham – where police believe he lives.
Police said the suspect is described as possibly of Pakistani descent, with tanned skin, between 5ft and 5ft7 tall, and has a thin but muscular build.
Police have not located the suspect and have released an e-fit picture in the hopes that someone will recognise him.
It is the UK’s police best practice to issue a detailed description of suspects in the hope that suspects can be apprehended quicker.
In Ireland, many have commented why detailed descriptions are not issued by Gardai.
We hope the release of the e-fit will help to bring justice quickly to the child involved.
