Police in England have appealed for information about the whereabouts of a sex offender who “presents a real risk to children and women”, reports Breaking News.

Police said Stephen Pennington (35) is wanted by Lancashire Police after he failed to comply with his license conditions and was sent back to prison.

The registered sex offender was convicted in 2009 of raping a child and again last year for breaching a sexual harm prevention order and notification requirements, reports Breaking News.

Police described him as “white, slim and around 6ft tall” with “short, balding dark brown hair”, reports Breaking News.

It said he had links to Blackburn, Blackpool and Wigan in northern England.

Detective Constable Stewart Marshall said: “Pennington is a high-risk sex offender who presents a real risk to children and women and I would appeal to anyone who sees him or knows where he could be to get in touch,” reports Breaking News.
