Many in GAA community think Varadkar was wrong by stating that All-Ireland could happen in late summer/autumn

Many in the GAA community have voiced their concern at comments made by the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar on Friday night’s Late Late Show.

Varadkar said that it’s possible that there will be an All-Ireland in late summer and possibly even the autumn with people, in small numbers, able to watch matches with their hats, gloves and scarves.

However, many in the GAA community feel that it just wouldn’t be safe to run any major competition as they all have relatives, friends and spectators who have underlying conditions that could make them susceptible to covid-19.
