The BLM riots which have blighted American cities for months following the murder of George Floyd may prove to have been the most expensive wave of man made carnage to have ever swept the country as insurance companies estimate the cost at between one and two billion dollars for just the first two weeks of disturbances.
Following the death of George Floyd, a wave of protests orchestrated by the Black Lives Matter movement and other militant leftist groups have swept the US, sometimes descending into rioting, looting and arson.
Today sees events, protests, marches and campaign rallies taking place across Ireland marking the first anniversary of George Floyd’s death.
