Taoiseach Micheál Martin said that a higher percentage of adults are now fully vaccinated in Ireland than in the UK.
72.4% of adults in Ireland are fully vaccinated compared to 72.1% in the UK.
In a Twitter post, Martin said: “The vaccine rollout is continuing at great pace. Today we edged ahead of our nearest neighbours – a brilliant effort by everyone involved.”
