Martin claims Ireland must act quickly and urgently to deal with climate change

Since the pandemic started, there wasn’t much else being spoken about on the world stage apart, of course, from the never-ending ramblings of some about climate change.

Greta Thunberg is the obvious port of call when it comes to the climate, but now it would appear that Micheal Martin fancies himself as a spokesman on the topic.

According to the Independent, Martin said that we must act quickly and indeed urgently to fight climate change.
They report Martin said:
“I believe, through research technologies we can significantly improve our capacity to reduce emissions in agriculture, but also in transport, energy,”

“Every sector of our society will have to contribute to the reduction of emissions. But the the parallel side of that is, it will create opportunities, it will create jobs, it will create a healthier world, and a healthier country in Ireland.”
