Micheal Martin is said to be telling friends and party colleagues that he couldn’t care less about the motion of no confidence that the government will face this week.
However, The Liberal understands that Martin was ringing around all weekend to Independent TDs trying to persuade them to vote with the government this week.
It’s understood that Martin told the TDs what the government has done and made promises about what they’ll do in a weak effort to ensure the government have the numbers to pass the motion.
