Martin says Govt and Ireland are making significant progress on housing crisis

According to Tánaiste Micheál Martin, Ireland is expected to surpass home delivery objectives this year and is making tremendous strides in addressing the housing problem in the nation, reports Breaking News.

Speaking at the official opening of 112 new social dwellings built by Clúid Housing on Friday in Blackpool, Cork, Mr. Martin described the project as “a manifestation of the success of the Housing for All Strategy.”

“Yesterday we had good news with close to 33,000 homes delivered in 2023 which is evidence of continuing momentum in terms of getting more supply into the market,” he said, reports Breaking News.

“We need to do more but next year the pipeline is such that we think we can go higher than this year and higher than the targets which have been set. We just have to keep the focus on (delivering housing). This (development) illustrates the value of restoring brownfield sites to modern housing projects of this kind,” reports Breaking News.
