The Taoiseach Micheal Martin said that the country is facing a very challenging January with the threat of what the Omicron variant will bring.
Martin was speaking on Newstalk radio this morning and said that things are going to get very tough in the new year because of Omicron.
Ruling out a lockdown at this stage, Martin has said that nothing is off the table.
He said that people need to be wary of the threat of Omicron with case numbers expected to break all records as the days go on.
