Mass-tercard: Archdiocese of Dublin confirms that they are introducing contactless payment for donations

Church goers will soon have a new way to make contributions as the Archdiocese of Dublin have confirmed that they will be introducing a contactless payment system.

According to RTÉ News, the new system will see a number of contactless card machines being placed in churches in order for parisheners to make a donation.

It is understood that the new system is being introduced as the number of donations has declined in recent years given that fewer people are attending mass.

Although traditional cash donations will still be accepted, the Archdiocese say a number of new measures including direct debit plans have been implemented in order to make donations easier for mass goers.
