Following her admission that she had intercourse with a 16-yr-old student, a maths instructor faces jail time, reports The Mirror.
Due to an alleged personal relationship with a student in her class at Laquey High School in Missouri, US, 26-yr-old Hailey Clifton-Carmack was placed under arrest on January 5.
Documents presented in court claim that she purposefully dressed improperly for the sessions, wearing “tight leggings” and “tight or low-cut shirts” to flaunt her cleavage. This led to the occurrences that occurred in November and December of last year, reports The Mirror.
Following a plea agreement that resulted in the dismissal of further counts, including statutory rape, child molestation, and child endangerment, she entered a guilty plea on Friday to having sex with a pupil.
According to the court records, the single mother of two had also received many reprimands from the school’s management for being “too close with students”.
The Laquey school resource officer notified the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department in December of last year after receiving pictures of the adolescent boy’s body scratches from a classmate, reports The Mirror.
The records also described how the two teenagers had intercourse at Laquey High School throughout the school day, with their peers apparently acting as “lookouts” at this time.
The student who informed school officials about the connection said that Clifton-Carmack’s husband had filed for divorce from her in August 2023 and that the kid had stated that “he was the reason the teacher’s ‘divorce was pushed through,” reports The Mirror.
