According to a survey conducted by payroll and HR supplier SD Worx, one-third of workers feel that their company doesn’t care about their financial security.
Four out of ten respondents feel that their company did not provide them enough money to cover inflation in the previous year, and forty-four percent stated they would want to be allowed to ask for a wage raise, reports RTE.
Merely 28% of employees reported feeling that they had a major say in the compensation discussions.
When it comes to their whole compensation package—which includes their pay, bonus, and other perks like health insurance—more than 25% of respondents expressed dissatisfaction, reports RTE.
About one-third of workers stated that they would quit their position if they were unhappy with their level of financial security and job security.
In order to learn more about the financial worries and overall wellness of 1,000 employees in Ireland, SD Worx commissioned an independent survey to be conducted by iVOX.
Eimear Byrne, Country Leader, SD Worx Ireland, stated, “Our research demonstrates that employees are grappling with rising costs and are concerned about their financial stability,” reports RTE.
“When not reflected by proportionate salary increases, the increasing cost of living amplifies the stress and pressure that employees and their families are placed under,” said Ms Byrne, reports RTE.
