Traffic restrictions will be implemented in Dublin city centre and Nenagh, Co. Tipperary today due to the funeral of Shane MacGowan, the frontman of The Pogues, who recently passed away in Dublin, reports Breaking News.
The funeral cortège will pass through the inner-city in the morning, starting at St. Lotts Road at 11am and crossing MacMahon Bridge onto Pearse Street.
The procession will then travel to Lombard Street, turn onto Westland Row, Fenian Street and end at Denzille Lane at approximately 11.45am, reports Breaking News.
Later in the day, at 3.30pm, the funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s of the Rosary Church in Nenagh.
Traffic restrictions will also be in place there to manage the expected large crowds, reports Breaking News.
