Leader of Sinn Féin claims Northern loyalists are behind posters of her with the term ‘traitor’ scribbled across them that have been put up at anti-immigration demonstrations, reports Breaking News.
Although Mary Lou McDonald acknowledged that her children were distressed by the photographs, she also maintained that they knew their mother was “a tough nut” and could handle it.
She said that several anti-immigration activists’ social circles had now come to light.
Ms. McDonald continued: “It’s now come to light… many months, a year and more later, that the ones pushing this message around me and around Sinn Féin, are up on the Oranmore Road in Belfast with the UDA [Ulster Defence Association]… loyalist groups,” reports Breaking News.
