McDonald’s has announced that it will shut down its business in Russia with immediate effect. All outlets will be closed, and the McDonald’s brand will no longer be allowed to be used in Russia.
The move is a direct consequence of the country’s invasion of Ukraine in late February.
The reckless actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin are likely to directly lead to dire consequences for millions of people in the country.
