Fast-food chain McDOnald’s has announced that it will begin using paper straws across all of its outlets in the UK and Ireland from later this year.
The rollout of paper straws will commence in September 2018, and should be completed by early 2019.
The company hopes to cut down on plastic waste by eliminating the straws.
Other companies like Burger King and Costa Coffee are implementing similar schemes.
