“Welcome to Dublin” – country people got a very unfriendly welcome to Dublin yesterday.

The unfriendly and disabling clampers were out in force yesterday afternoon.

The managed to sneakily clamp 21 cars outside Croke Park during the Kerry/Donegal All-Ireland final.

This journalist happened to drive through Drumcondra yesterday afternoon during the match.

Cars were parked on pavements and on curbs, but there was definitely no obstructions. Also, it’s a Sunday but more importantly it’s All-Ireland Sunday – of course there’s going to be people parked on curbs.

These minimum €80 and up to €130 release fees are nothing short of a sneaky tax collecting exercise. Most clampers are as unfriendly and unhelpful as you can get, but this truly has reached a new low.
