Media around the world, including The Liberal, have decided rightly not to publish the gruesome images and videos that were taken of the victims of the Nice attack last night.
Within minutes, The Liberal was in possession of video that showed victims on the ground literally dead from their injuries.
We quickly made the decision not to publish the images as the victims deserve their privacy and dignity for both themselves and their families.
It would appear the media around the world had the same decision even though social media is full of the horrific and tragic images. We all have the footage but the victims’ dignity and their families privacy must always come first and foremost.
In a way, it would be unquestionably wrong to publish the content only, and I mean ONLY because it shows the destruction these absolutely disgusting evil animals are willing to inflict on decent innocent people.
