Medical authorities have ordered a probe into the standards of orthopedic care at Temple Street Children’s Hospital following several incidents.
It is understood that all incidents are linked to one particular consultant, who’s currently not performing surgeries, according to the HSE.
The probe was initiated following poor clinical outcomes, including a child’s death, and a higher than normal incidence of post-surgical infections.
