Medical personnel and hospital staff across the country have seemingly sent a message the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar as they have started a campaign highlighting their work ethics this Christmas.
The campaign which has gathered momentum on Twitter has seen doctors, nursing staff and all those involved in the industry post a number of messages with the caption #WeAreWorking.

In what seems to be a message to the Government, the campaign which has also gained support from the public has seen medical professionals from across the country show that the are undertaking their regular duties even though it is Christmas time.

The message comes after the Taoiseach seemingly criticised medical professionals back in November about the amount of time they take off over the Christmas period.
However Mr Varadkar was heavily criticised last month after medical personnel stated that they take little to no time off at all, and now it seems those working in the sector are aiming to highlight that they continue to work relentlessly throughout the Christmas period.
