The Mercy Hospital in Cork has joined the dubious ranks of Irish medical facilities asking the public not to attend, unless urgent care is needed.
A statement reads “Due to the surge in activity at the ED the hospital has appealed to the members of the public needing less urgent treatment to avail, where possible, of other care services.”
According to hospital sources, the situation is being ‘addressed.’
