A pensioner is currently recovering in hospital from smoke inhalation after her home went on fire in Co Clare this evening.
It us understood emergency services rescued the woman believed to be aged in her 90s after they received a call at around 5.00pm.
Three units of the fire service from Scarriff along with an appliance from Killaloe responded to the fire at a located at Gortavrulla, a remote are about 7 kilometres from Scarriff in east Clare.
