Met Eireann has extended its weather warning until Friday amidst freezing temperatures and treacherous driving conditions.
According to the national forecaster, there were some snow falls today, with overnight temperatures expected to drop to -6C in places.
The outlook is for cold and frosty conditions until Friday evening, with the likelihood of a wet Saturday, but better weather arriving on Sunday.
