Met Eireann is forecasting a windy 24h across western areas, with heavy rain also likely.
According to the national forecaster, winds of up to 90km/h will lash some coastal and high ground areas, with rough seas predicted.
It will remain fairly mild for the time of year, with temperatures topping 14-15C at times.
The overall outlook for the weekend is for settled weather conditions, with some sunny spells at times and little in the way of rain.
