Met Eireann is today forecasting rather pleasant weather for St. Patrick’s Day and the following days, with talks of a ‘mini-heatwave’ in the air.

According to the national forecaster, Monday and Tuesday will remain unsettled, with showers mixed with brief spells of sunshine, and temperatures barely reaching double digits.

But things look set to improve from Wednesday onwards, with mostly dry and bright weather predicted for St. Patrick’s Day, and temperatures reaching 12-13C by the afternoon.

The benign weather will likely remain for the entire weekend, with temperatures rising even higher, perhaps reaching 14C or 15C at times, and little in the way of rain.
