Met Eireann is forecasting very unsettled weather for the next couple of days, with strong winds and heavy showers at times, but better conditions are expected for the weekend.
According to the national forecaster, the tail end of Storm Alex will create very windy conditions across Ireland, with some sunny spells and rain too.
Friday will see an improvement in the weather, with some showers still possible, mostly light inland.
Saturday and Sunday are expected to be drier and brighter days, with temperatures reaching 19C at times.
