Met Eireann issue status Yellow wind warning as strong gusts are expected across the country




Met Eireann have issued a number of yellow status wind warnings as strong gusts are expected in most places today.

The warning comes as southerly winds are expected to move across the country.

Met Eireann say a yellow status warning has been issued for Munster which is valid from 11am to 3pm.

The national forecaster have also issued a yellow status warning for Leinster which is valid from 12pm to 6pm, whilst a similar warning has been issued for Connacht from 3pm to 6pm.

Meanwhile, Met Eireann say  strong and gusty south to southwest winds are expected in counties Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal with gusts in excess of 90km/h.

That warning will remain in place from 4pm until 9pm.
