Met Eireann has issued a dire weather forecast for the coming Bank Holiday weekend, with plenty rain and wind expected throughout.
The national forecaster has gone as far as issuing a Status Yellow warning for Co. Donegal, as rain showers are forecast to be particularly heavy there.
Today, Thursday, is expected to be a dull, cloudy day, with persistent rain expected around Munster for most of the afternoon, extending to Leinster later in the day. Temperatures will reach 18-19C at best.#
Friday will see a mix of rain and sunny spells, with temperatures topping 20C in the afternoon.
Saturday is forecast to be a cloudy, showery day, though some sunny spells will develop late in the day. Temperatures again reaching 20C.
Sunday will be a similar day, weather-wise, with scattered showers and a brighter evening.
