Met Eireann has just issued a grim weather forecast for the coming four days, with snow and freezing temperatures predicted.
The national forecaster is issuing an advisory weather note that will come into effect at 6am on Sunday and remain in place until 6pm on Wednesday.
According to the note, daytime temperatures from Sunday to Wednesday will remain in single digits, dipping to below zero at times, and the likelihood of widespread snowfalls.
Nights will be extremely cold, with sharp frosts predicted.
