Met Eireann has issued a grim weather forecast for the remainder of this week and the weekend, with heavy rain expected most days.
According to the national forecaster, low pressure currently dominates weather patterns, which means very unstable conditions.
The next few days, and the coming weekend, are expected to be very wet, with strong winds and even hail or thunder at times, and temperatures barely reaching double digits.
