Met Eireann has issued a new weather warning ahead of dire conditions.
A Status Yellow warning for heavy rainfall has been issued for counties Dublin, Louth, Wicklow, and Meath.
The warning will kick in at 1am tonight and remain in place until 2pm on Thursday.
Meanwhile, counties Clare, Cork, and Kerry will be under a Status Yellow warning for strong winds overnight and until noon tomorrow.
