The national forecaster has just issued a Status Yellow warning due to a heavy rain forecast.
The warning, which will kick in at 4am tonight and expire 24h later, covers the entirety of Connacht, plus counties Longford, Donegal, Clare, and Kerry.
Up to 40mm of rain might fall across many of these areas, likely leading to localized flooding and adding to the recent weather misery.
